Old Pictures
After reading on We are THAT Family I felt like joining in on their bloggy carnival. Great blog, btw. I subscribed after reading a total of one post - it's that good.
You know when you were a pre-teen and going through that "awkward" stage in life?
I had a particularly bad awkward stage. I was an all-out nerd. You know, big glasses, no fashion sense, shaggy bangs. Yup, that was me. What's the only thing worse than having a bad awkward stage? Having pics of it posted on Facebook :p
At least all my friends in the picture hated how they looked at the time too :) (I'm the one in the blue top...yeah, the frumpy librarian look.)
I look WAY better now...honest!
The sweetest part of the picture? I knew my darling husband at that time and when he saw this pic he said he thought I was cute even then :)

Welcome to the carnival!! I've been doing it for a while and it's always fun. I think you look cute! What would life be without pictures to laugh at?
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of your husband.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally learing of what pics are out there of mine ending up on FB.
When I've put the few pics from college/hs I've emailed everyone involved with a preview asking permission first. And I ask for reciprication. I want approval of any of mine! LOL!
How sweet! Sounds like you have a great man. Isn't it fun to look back thru those old photos? My kids are always like "Why did you look like that?" Ha!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in and subscribing!
But you DO look cute! Sure all our clothes were dorky (though fortunately I had older sisters and a dad -- yes, dad -- with better fashion sense than me). But the cute faces still shine through!
ReplyDeleteI consider it a miracle that Jeremy thought I was cute while I was in the Christmas play wearing those huge bathrobey things and my face was horribly broken out. 8-O I guess some men are not as shallow as we think!
You wore frumpy well! And such a sweet comment from the hubby.
ReplyDeleteAnd how about that little red dress?!
